sex of baby at NT?

So...It was a really hard decision, but we decided last minute on the blood and NT test.  I am really doing it to screen for trisomy 13 and 18, b/c they can cause later m/c (and it would be nice to know why), but anyway.

I am trying to keep all negeative thoughts out of my head, and just focusing on getting to see baby again.  Did any of you learn about the sex of the baby at this test??  The books are confusing to me, making it sound like you may be able to tell?

Some girls here have been told the sex of their LO at their N/T scan. However, they do tell you when they look that early on that it is not a def or accurate answer as to whether it is a boy or a girl. I've heard of several people who have been told it was a girl at the n/t scan and then later on found out that it was indeed a boy, or vice versa. I think imo that it is safer to just wait out the few extra weeks and get a def certain answer on the sex. GL!

I go for mine on Friday and will be 12 weeks. I'm hoping maybe the u/s tech will be able to make a guess. Some ladies have found out at the N/T scan but I wouldn't paint the walls pink or blue yet from what they will day.

you're right...but in my head it seems fun to have them make a guess.  But I guess you still have to officially wait til the 20 wk u/S. lol

I agree- it's fun to at least have a guess, and I don't think there's any harm in that, as long as you're seeing it as something fun, and not relying on it as fact. GL at your scan!
