AW: DH's work gave him a "shower"

in Pregnant after a Loss
Today is DH's last day of work (likely until the beginning of November) as I have a full day of dr.'s appts and pre-op testing tomorrow (and a scheduled c/s on Monday).  He arrived into work to find a nice sized diaper cake, a card, and shower type gifts on his desk.  So cool!

    I so wish he had paternity leave.  He has about 2 weeks of PTO, and then he'll use another week of Leave without pay.  We don't have much in the way of outside help (my mom passed away when I was a teenager) and my MIL is a depressed alcoholic, so we really only have some friends to rely on.  So, with my impending surgery, I know I'll need more time to recover and more help, so I am glad that DH plans to take so much time (and he said he'd take more if needed).

    That's so nice! My DH's work did a sort of "shower" for him and 2 others in their department expecting babies too - we got a Walmart gift card. Always handy for diapers or baby stuff! Glad they did something nice for him - good luck with your appointments and c-section!
