I have spent waaaay too much time on this new user name thing.

What am I doing wrong? Do I have to delete my current acct or something? How did you change your username?

Here is what I did and obviously, it's not working 

I went to "edit profile" and where it said "kdbennett", I selected "not you" so I would be prompted to set up a new acct and username. Well, that went fine, I finally found a user name that didn't belong to someone else, and submitted it yet I still see "welcome kari" and 'kdbennett' - even though my *new* username at the bottom of the screen looks as if it was accepted (it has gray lettering and says it can't be altered).

I keep checking my email acct to see if the bump is going to send me a confirmation or something. Nothing.

i feel like such a moron.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. I know that when I had originally set up my new acct, I had trouble and gave up trying to use it, but I can't remember what the issue was exactly.

Today when I went back to it, I had no problems. Maybe give the bump a day or two to figure it out and try again. You can't post with a new account for like 48 hours after set up anyway.
