so.... since late this afternoon i have noticed brown discharge on liner..I'm confused. It dosen't seem to be the "plug" everyone tells me about.  any advice. I have googled it and now I am just more confused. I feel in my gut that this is nothing to get worried about, I am just curious as to what's going on. Thanks ladies.

Actually, I've heard that you can lose parts of your plug over a period of time.  Because the plus contains blood it sometimes comes out bright red, but can also come out brownish in color (like the end of AF).  Maybe you are slowly losing parts of your plug as your body prepares for labor?  I'm not 100% sure, maybe ask on PAL too and see what those ladies say!

I agree--that's probably what it is. At this point I probably wouldn't fret too much over brown discharge on a liner at 39 weeks! Call the dr and see what they have to say about it.
