Both are pretty ridiculous. If I had to choose, I'd pick Barron because it's at least recognizable as a (misspelled) word. I also hate first/last name alliteration.
I didn't vote because I would need to have some sort of idea of the last name (not the real name - could be a sounds like X type of name) to see how both of those names flow with it. Just saying it starts with a D doesn't give enough info.
So don't name your kid Barron/Baron. Why try to 'correct' her?
Though, OP, I don't like either name (either). I went to school w/a boy named Barron and never liked him. Can't separate the name from the memory.
Deegan, for those of us who live in NY, or have traveled here, know of "The Deegan" as the Major Deegan, or the part of the NYS Thruway that runs past Yankee Stadium. So that'd be like naming your kid "I-95" around here.
And I can usually find something nice about most names. Barron sounds super pretentious to me and Deegan, imo, just does not sound nice at all. (I also do not like Teagan or Reagan)
The only similar names I can think of that are slightly better are Deacon, Aaron, Barrett and Bennett.
Re: Which boys name? (clicky poll)
True. Except for the founder of the Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa yoga studios.
I think you should both keep trying.

These are both terrible. How about...
Keegan, Keenan, Devon, Declan
neither
Ditto. When I saw Deegan, I thought that you had mistyped Keegan (which I don't like either.) You both need to keep searching.
This.

Sorry, can't vote.

I can't in good faith vote for either name.
Plain old mean.
