Dear friends,
I had my fourth HCG test today, and the increase was not as good as hoped for.
It went from 179 to 255, which is just a 42% increase in 48 hours.
The nurse said that this is a sign that something is wrong, and that it could be an ectopic pregnancy. That has been my back-of-my-mind fear ever since I got the low initial reading. But I know the increase is more important. What concerns me most is that my rate of increase went from just over 50 percent to 171 percent to 42 percent.
I know that anything is possible still. Even the nurse said they just need to check - everything could still be fine. But I am terrified.
I go in tomorrow am for another test and an ultrasound. Because it's still so early, they do not expect to see much of a sac or anything. But they will be looking for signs of inflamation outside of my uterus, which would indicate ectopic.
Please, please keep me and Embryo Joyful in your T&P. Your support means so much to me.
Joyful
Re: Please keep me in your T&P
Joy - I am so sorry that you are going through this. There is still a chance for you, your beta today could be a fluke. Sending you all the luck in the world for a good U/S and beta tomorrow. It is possible!
FWIW - I always enjoy reading your posts - mostly because I am awed and inspired by your postive attitude.
Thoughts and prayers sent for you, your embryo-baby, and your H.
This just happened to a friend of mine. Hers only doubled 40% at 48 hours. She was told she was having a miscarriage or an ectopic - she went back two days later expecting bad news and her levels had tripled! Upon doing some research she discovered that some women only have theirs double every 72 hours. Thoughts and prayers that you are one of those women.
Good luck!
You are in our T & P. I too had low numbers and it was questionable but I ended up having a healthy baby boy.
Please know that I am flooding you with T&P right now.
Hang in there and keep us posted.
((((HUGS)))). More T & P coming your way.

Hoping for the best for u and embryo joyful! ??
Thank you, everyone, for your good wishes and hopeful messages.
My DH is a scientist, and he put together a chart of my HCG #s, telling me I'm still within the proper range of rise, and that I need more data points, etc.
I know that I will get through this.
Still hoping for the best,
Joyful
T & P to you. I know how difficult the "beta gauntlet" can be, and I'm sorry for the concern you are feeling.
I hope everything looks great tomorrow.
Yes,I'm smiling...I'm a marathoner!
