question if you've had a C/S and run/workout....

I've been running longer distances lately...and I noticed more that my incision area is somewhat sore when running.  It doesn't hurt or anything (if I were in pain, I'd call the doc. asap) but, it's just somewhat sore during a long-distance run.  I was thinking that they pretty much cut through the ab muscles to do a C/S, so it makes sense for it to be sore then?  (I had the C/S almost 8 months ago)  Just wondering if any of you experience that?.....

  • I ran a half marathon 6 months after my c/s. I don't recall my incision feeling sore during training or my run but I could imagine that happening given as you mention they do cut through your ab muscles.  I'd check with your dr.

  • I was actually pretty sore the first few days after going back to work. I assumed i was just doing more and moving ways i didn't while at home. It surprised me. It seemed odd b/c i did all sorts of things while out of work but I guess I just do things at work that i don't realize. I bet your situation is similar. Those muscles and tiny nerve endings are just waking up and getting with the program! I'd give it some time. After about a week for me I was back to norm.
