What can I give DD for cough?

She had a cold last week and it's the lingering, drippy cough that's keeping her up all night. What can I give her? Any remedies? She's almost 3.

    Honey.  I've given delsym also.  I also put vicks on their chest and back after bath/before bed.

    Honey. I forget how much, maybe a tsp or two?  Someone should know...

    I totally thought you guys were calling ME honey and commiserating with me. HA!

    I will try some honey.  Ugh, she is so annoyed by it. I feel so bad for her.
