Hey, all! I want to paint a few clay pots with some acrylic paint, and use a paint pen to write cute sayings on them....the paint pen is oil-based....is that an issue, or do i have to try to find acrylic paint pens? TIA for your help!
You're testing my rusty memory, but it may bead up on the surface. There are acrylic based pens out there, I used to use them all the time. I found mine at Joanns..maybe Michaels would have them too.
I'd try painting a piece of paper first then trying to write on that and see what happens.
GL!

Generally oil-based paint sticks to just about anything, but acrylic will peel off of oil-based paint. So you should be good.
Yep, this is what I was thinking of. Sheesh, you'd never guess I went to art school! It has been a year since I did any painting though, does that make it any better?

Re: Crafters: is it ok to use oil-based paint marker on acrylic paint?
