Episiotomy pain - 3 weeks pp

A few days ago I started feeling a pinch where my stitches are. I checked and had DH check, and nothing looks inflamed or swollen. Today I can hardly sit straight. Did anyone else experience pain at the cut so long after? Does this maybe just mean the cut is coming together?

I still have random pain in that area and mine wasn't a cut, just a tear. It sounds awful, but kegels help.

Every once in a while I get a twinge down there when I sit funny or something. At 3 weeks PP I was still experiencing soreness every once in a while. Your stitches should be almost gone, but as everything completely heals you will have scar tissue forming, so maybe that's what you're feeling.

Mine hurt more during the second week PP than they did right afterwards. Sitz baths helped.

It's probably the nerves healing. I had the worst pain 3 weeks pp... worse than anything to do with labor & delivery. My dr checked and said it was just the nerves healing back. They recommended sitz baths two to three times a day. I feel your pain!

I didn't have any discomfort with my episiotomy. I used the spray and "tucks" they gave me from the hospital and healed within 3 weeks. How many stitches did you get?

Yes, I had pain down there up until my 6 week appt. Apparently where the skin met after healing, from being cut, caused it to have a slight bump. I guess according to my dr it is common. My Dr. put some silver nitrate on it and since then there has been no pain.
