I'm plus size because I'm not a size 6? Really?

I'm watching ellen and the models say they are considered "plus size" in the industry because they are over size 6. This seems ridiculous to me. No wonder young girls have so many body issues.

I hope I can raise my daughter to realize she is beautiful no matter what size, and I hope things change before she becomes aware of it.

That is very sad.  Plus size used to be size 14 or bigger.  What happened to that?

It's funny to me that the average size in the US is 12 but that is considered plus size.

I'm very happy with my 5' tall, size 14 self - and fck the naysayers.

It's because the designers can't be bothered to make a variety of sample sizes & they don't want their products to be seen on less 'flattering' bodies because it would require more thought for them in the design process to account for anything but mannequin silhouettes.

And it sucks.
