pumping at work horror story...or at lest really awkward

I went back to work this week :( and have been pumping at work once a day so that my LO can still get at lest some breast milk...

so yesterday I ran around telling everyone in my small office that I was going to close my door and be pumping

Well I guess my boss didnt hear me b.c sure enough he came running into my office (didnt knock!!) wanting to know something about my computer.....I was so gald I had my hooter cover on or else he would have gotten a show!

needless to say I had to explain that I was pumping and that he might want to come back...he couldnt look me int he eye the rest of the day!

and I'm sure he will always knock from now on ;)

HAHA!

  • I always put a sign on the door that says, "Please knock before entering"... now everyone at work knows what that means, lol.  Thank god you were wearing a hooter hider, that would have been so humiliating (I never use a hooter hider when pumping)!

  • Oh god. That's my biggest fear. I wish I could pump in my office...we have windows on our office doors. We do have a mother's room though...:)

  • OMG no lock on your door? I lock it, put a chair in front of the door and a sign that reads DO NOT DISTURB. and if anyone barged in I would be complaining to HR... this is my hugest fear!
  • At least he left, my former principal's (he retired) wife who is also an administrator in district used to come back and talk to me and another co-worker when we would pump.
