going crazy

My child will not stop crying. Nothing helps -- paci, nursing, rocking, moby...

Re: going crazy

  • Some girls claim a shower will help.  What about running the vaccuum or other loud noise...a walk in the stroller??
  • Loading the player...
  • Swaddling?  Sometimes when DD is screaming mad, the only thing that will work is getting her arms pinned down in a good swaddle.
  • i vote stroller walk

  • Just posted this in response to another post. Maybe it will help?

Here's how I soothe DS when he's just freaking out:

Bouncing around the room like a moron seems to soothe DS. Literally, swaddle him, put the paci in his mouth, ssshhh in his ear and jump (I mean, two feet together jumping up and down like I'm slowly jumping rope while holding his head, kind of jump). Knocks him out like a light.

  • Our sanity saver has been the exhaust fan above our stove or in the bathroom.  No idea why these work when the vacuum and hairdryer don't but it works every time!
  • we spend many a day in our garage...seriously...not much since its cold now but pretty much the entire months of august and sept we were pacing in the garage. Im not sure if it was the smell or the neon blue walls that my husband painted out there but it was instant relief...GL!!
