Babies: 0 - 3 Months

work

I'm going back to work part time because I want to. I think my coworkers are great and were so supportive of me and my family during my pregnancy (I am lucky to be an Labor and Delivery nurse) and I miss the socialization of the environment. I work 2 blocks from home and my babysitter is a coworker's daughter and I am incredibly lucky. I choose to work so that the little extra we have can go towards vacations and memories for our child to grow up with.

As it is with everything, people need to do what is right for them.

  • I just wrote something very similar. I agree with you.

I am an L&D nurse as well!

what fantastic jobs you have!!! after my birth I told DH I wished I would have gone to nursing school because I wanted to be an L&D nurse... except for the fact that I am squeamish at needles and blood...

I just want to be there when the babies are born!!! I loved my L&D nurses!

  • I work from home but plan to get a nanny parttime to help out so I can continue to work.  I looove my job.  I am a travel agent working 100% commission.  I work very hard, love my clients and my lifestyle.  I enjoy contributing financially and we travel as a family for free to many destinations.  I am not willing to give it up to be a SAHM.  I love my child but I also love working (I miss it a lot!) and having that connection with my clients, helping create lasting memories, planning destination weddings and honeymoons and also allowing my family to have those memories as well.

I respect everyone's individual choice to work or stay at home.  Whatever is best for everyone is good.  I don't care what anyone says, but I agree that passing judgment without really knowing someone or their situation is sh!tty no matter what capacity it is presented.
