I am on a new medication now and can no longer breastfeed. I had 400 oz of milk in the freezer and we have been using that while we talked with several different people about the what may or may not be excreted and I have decided that the potential risk to DS is just not worth it.
I have 2 samples that I received and plan to start with those-- Similac Advanced & Enfamil Premium Lipil.
What formula do you use and why?
If you were breastfeeding, did you alternate formula and breastmilk?
Any info would be helpful. I had no intentions of stopping this early and don't know anything about formula.
TIA.

Miles has eaten earth's best since i stopped bf. i chose it b/c it's organic... and doesn't have that skanky formula smell.

??
we've had no problems.?
We also used Similac Advance Early Shield, because that's what we got in the hospital. We have also used the Target brand that is similar to this and DD seems fine with the switch (we bought the Similac because it was on sale and with the formula checks it was the same price as Target) I still BF but I have to supplement at every feeding... this seems to work for us, although feedings definitely take a lot longer than they would if I just did one or the other!!
I first had him on Similac Advanced. He seemed very fussy and very gassy. So now he is on Emfamil Gentlease and is doing awesome. It mixes very easy and creates like no bubbles, so lots less air. We use the Playtex Ventair bottles and he does fine with those. Those are the bottles that were recommended by the ped and a ped physical therapist.
