lol I was thinking about it yesterday because the news had a segment on red lipstick being "in" for the fall.

I know I always ask when people plan to EP...only because I know how much of a PITA pumping is and want to try to 'help'.  Also just because I'm flat out nosey.

I see what you are saying. You see, I choose to pump.  I actually do both, but my LO wasn't gaining weight when I was feeding him on the breast only. Now we do both, but I am finding myself pumping more and more. It helps me mentally to know that he is getting enough. Pumping isn't annoying to me. I guess I don't think it's a issue where I need 'help.'  I don't see pumping as what you resort to when being on the breast doesn't work out. Some people just prefer it. Please don't read this as being snarky.  I know things can come across wrong online.

When I ask, its usually because there's a difference between the advice you give when someone is pumping for a Saturday date night, to build up a stash, or pumping exclusively.  So I always ask 'why are you pumping?' before giving my opinion.  If they tell me they're pumping exclusively then I back out of the post since I don't have any experience with just pumping but I do with pumping during work or pumping for a stash, KWIM?

Yup!  That makes sense and is a valid reason to ask.

I totally get what you are saying, and agree that for some people pumping is easier. I guess like the pp I just want to know the 'reason' so I can 'help' more.
