How long do you plan on breastfeeding?

When hubs found out I wanted to do it for a year, he was skeptical.  I explained that when LO is walking and talking I'll exclusively pump and just give him the bottle.  I don't want LO walking up to me and asking for it-that would be too much!  (Hubs was ok with that plan).

I'd like to make it to 11 months. I'd say a year but, I'm going to Vegas in March for a Bach. Party and I don't want to be tied to a pump.

My last goal was 3 months (I EP).  Now I'd like to just drop a pumping session and try to make it to 4 months.  I might then pump once a day after that until 6 months.

I would like to BF/pump for a year, until he's ready for cow's milk. We'll see how it goes when I'm back to work though.

my goal is a year...i'd like to transition him from breastmilk straight to cow's milk.  but, every month i BF him, i consider a victory.  its been harder than i ever knew it would be and i'm proud of myself for going on 4 months.  each month has its own difficulities - right now, being back at work and figuring out the logistics of pumping!

I go back to work when Jacob is 11 months, I really don't want to pump at work, mainly because I have a pretty dinky manual pump and to make it work, I would have to buy a new one and I don't think it's worth it for a month.

I want to keep morning and evening nursing session until he weans himself.

My goal is, like many others, is to be able to BF then go to cow's milk. So I guess about a year.

I have always said a year, but yesterday was doing some reasearch and now I'm thinking maybe longer.  I like how some dr's recommend "until mutually desired by mother and child". 

I don't want to have a 5yo bf'ing, but DH has horrible allergies to EVERYTHING and BM is the best thing to prevent those, so as long as DS wants to BF I'm all for it.  I love our bonding time and giving him what he needs. 

As PP said, once he gets older I may go to pumping and giving him a cup instead of actually BF from the source...but we'll see.  I don't want to just give in to what society says either...time will tell.

I will probably BF until 6 months, I am not sure I may go longer. I plan to pump after that until S is a year old.

I'm taking one month at a time.  BF is going great so far and I'd like to make it to the six month mark.  We'll see what happens when I go back to work at the end of Nov.

it depends on wether or not i can breastfeed while doing another FET cycle- we want to go back to the RE within 6 months so we shall see.

so i'm going to pump like crazy and fill up my freezer- so even if i can't BF while doing a treatment cycle, at least i'll have quite a bit of milk (i hope) and only have to suppliment w/formula.

Until 6 months.  I say that New Year's Eve will be my last nursing session and we'll bring in the new year bf free lol (she was born on the 1st)

At least two years, I nursed my son until he was almost 2 and a half.  Pumping at a year would be really annoying...I have a feeling you may change your mind once your child gets a bit older and you can see that it's really not all that crazy.

A year. My cousin BFed and she told me to come up a name only the baby and I know. Since I speak Spanish and English, I tell DS "Would like some leche?" It's a spanish name for milk. My cousin's baby called it "milks"

1-2 years here too...I will follow DS's lead after the 1 year mark!

A full year at least. Probably once I go back to work I will partially wean and just nurse at night or something like that, we will see how it goes. I cannot see me EPing at that point.
