TD bank sucks because your money won't be there!

So if you have TD bank and direct deposit, guess what?  Your money isn't there!!!  You can't call the 888 number, calls won't go through, and the branch guy just says, "Yeah, they're experiencing problems.  They hope to update it soon."  Meanwhile our funds should have hit yesterday, and we have bills to pay!  And foodshopping to do!

Grrrr.  How does a bank suddenly screw up all direct deposits?  And why would you "update" the system on the last day of the month, when checks hit, if there could be problems like this?  Seriously.  I hate them right now.

    Oh no my sister deals with TD and has a lot of bills coming  out today.  Isnt GST supposed to go in today as well??

    No it's a national problem.  They're having problems posting transactions to the account.  The guy said they're experiencing a lot of direct deposit issues.

    Oh ok are you in the states? Maybe thats why my sister has TD but in Canada

    Yup I'm in the states.  I was getting more paranoid thinking it was just us!  But who knows if Canada is on the same system, or if they did the "update" that seemed to screw everything up.

    oh crap! no it's not just you. I just checked my account. My unemployment direct deposit is not there and there is a special message about this issue. You are right why did they do their updates at the end of the month. Stupid. I had Commerce Bank, i guess they were bought by TD. oh I think DH's paycheck goes in today, guess that will be delayed too. how annoying.
