Babies: 0 - 3 Months

I complain a lot about my crazy MIL but

She's really helping us out by taking care of DD and doesn't even expect to be paid or anything. She's also really considerate. She made us dinner today (rice and this sort of turkey stew...have no idea what its called in English. Its called guisa in Spanish). Anyway it was delicious and she even packed up some in a separate container for me to take to work. That was really nice of her.

  • I can't stand MIL either, but she does do a lot for us too.

  • Wow.  Lucky.  My MIL won't take care of her grandkids at all.  I have no expectations it will be any different for us.  She was supposed to take care of my niece and nephew for a few hours and then come to our house.  What does she decide to do?  Leave their house ASAP, feed them macdonalds for lunch because she was too lazy to make PBJ, and then for the 40 minute ride, have them play the game who can be quietest the longest so she could talk the entire ride.  She showed up to our house unannounced 2 hours early.  I had just gotten out of the shower at that point.  She did this all because she didn't want to take care of her grandkids and would rather dump them at our place for us to watch them.  Nice.
