Is it possible to take a baby out of a wrap carrier without waking them

I've had some success holding DS with one hand while un-knotting my wrap then I lay him down on top of it. Does that make sense? But DS is a good, sound sleeper. I was never able to do that with DD.

Both of the kids have just gotten used to the transfer in and out of carriers.  Sometimes they wake, but usually don't.  I also don't carry them around int the infant seat and transfer to and from the seat to carriers to beds. 

The more you do it, the less they'll wake...and it was a good thing too, once we moved to a convertible seat DS could easily transfer from the seat to bed.  I'm glad I got him used to it, it's been sooo helpful as he got older!  Another reason to ditch the infant seat and just wear them!

I can do it if I sit down first. I lean back in our recliner with DS on my chest (from the Moby wrap in the Hug Hold) - and then I untie the knot under his little booty and start to slowly unwrap it around him. Sometimes I just pull my arms out & slide it down around my waist -- then if I stand up I can just slide it down and step out of it. DS often falls asleep on our walks - so I do it pretty often.

Yup - I just move very slowly and get the wrap untied and loose, then lay him down with the wrap still around him.  It only works if he's really, really asleep.
