Milestones question

I posted this question a few weeks ago but just wanted to ask again- my little guy was born at 36w5d so he's barely a preemie but he really hasn't been focusing on my face at all yet. It seems like he's looking around and focusing on other objects but he won't look me in the eye yet- should I be worried? He will be 7 weeks on Friday... I hope I don't sound like a neurotic mom, but I keep seeing everywhere that most babies do this a lot earlier, and he should be smiling by now too (which he is not, only in his sleep...) Thanks!

    3 weeks ago that was one of my main concerns.  My son was born 32 weeks 2 days.  He is 14 weeks now (should be 5 weeks).  He is finally looking at me.  Every once in a while he smiles for his Mama:).  Just wait .... should be any day now

    I wouldn't worry yet.  But, if you want some reassurance, you can always contact your local Early Intervention program and see if they will do an eval.

    DS didn't do this until just after 2 months. He didn't smile at ALL until that point either. It will happen soon I'm sure!
