I love love loved my nephew when he was a newborn (still do, but he's 9 months now) but always felt that empty ache in my heart as we drove home. This never stopped me from loving Hayden, and he knows who I am since I'm around so much, but I wish we had our own... Someday soon I'm hoping

Ditto this. I think you're either a newborn phase fan or not. I'm not. I'm super blessed to be expecting #2 after our TTC troubles, but I'll honestly say that 3 months of age can't come soon enough!

(Someday I'll kick myself for saying that, I'm sure.)
