Hi all, I am new here.  I have been TTC since 02/09 with no luck. I have had all the blood tests and everything has come back normal. I recently took Provera since I have also not had a period since I stopped taking the pill in Feb.  Big surprise-the Provera did not work.  My doctor said she didnt know why it didnt work.  So now I have an appointment next week with a Fertility Specialist.

Has anyone else had this problem?

    I might be in a similar boat...not sure yet. I stopped bcp in early May and nothing. Then in late August I took provera. I did have very light spotting, but not even enough to show on underwear or anything. My doc isn't sure if that counts or not... so now I'm 24 days since then and waiting to see what happens. All blood work has been normal so far, and I have an u/s scheduled in 3 weeks.

    Hi and welcome

    Provera can cause a period to come up to 2 weeks after the last pill.

    I had it not happen for me, but I have PCOS and my body hates me so they did an double shot of progestrone in my bum.. and let me tell you it hurt so bad.

    Similar.. I had no cycle after kicking the BC in March. I took Prometrium not provera which is the natural horamone not synthetic like Provera. It worked. I have also heard of your body absorbing the eggs too. Were u tested for PCOS? What tests were norm?

    Hello?  I am having a similar issue.  I have been ttc for over 1yr and nothing.  So far the doc can not find anything wrong.  I have a regular period/ovulation..  I have an app this mth for blood work and my dh semen analysis. My question is what did your doc test with the blood test?  Hopefully, we will have answers by the end of the month.

    Hi and I am also having a similar issue, only we have been trying for a year.  I have been temping and though my temps show an ovulation shift, I started taking OPKs and they all came up negative... I have an appointment with my doctor next week so I am going to start the process of finding out what is going on.

    For my blood work, they've tested for estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, LH, FSH, thyroid (which I am on meds for since I have hypo, but this is under control), etc... Everything is normal so far. B/c I only got maybe a few barely noticeable dots of spotting from provera, my doc wants me to have an u/s to check the thickness of my lining. For the pcos ladies, what tests did your doctors perform to diagnose you as such?

    We have the same story. I also got off in Feb and was started on Provera and only minimal spotting. All of B/W came back normal, but they did find a cyst on my right ovary after the Transvaginal U/S...by the time I had my lap surgery the cyst was gone. Anyways, I just completed my first round of clomid and no O. Now Im on Provera again, which I think this time it might work (my temps actually went up this time) So...anyways, I look forward to hearing what your doc says. Feel free to PM me!!

    Provera did not work for me the first time that I took it.  I have to take it again so hopefully this time it will work.  After Provera did not work, my doctor had me go for an ultrsound and then directed me to go to an RE. I met with her and said she thinks I may be insulin resistant. She said once I get the under control everything will start working again.  Also diagnosed with PCOS

    I have not taken Provera and am not sure what that is but I have also been trying since Semptember of 2009 myself and nothing.

     I am super discouraged I did the whole charting thing and the taking the temperature and checking my cervix and all that good stuff, got the book called "Taking charge of your fertility" By: Toni Weschler. And nothing I know that is a short time compared to other women and for those of you who have been TTC for a year and more I am sorry for what you are going through.

    Scripture says: It is the heavenly father that opens and closes the womb so I am assuming he will give me a child when the time is right.

    But again I am so sad....
