My insurance is only covering 85% after I pay $400 deductable and 15 %. I don't know what to do? my risk is low,and I only have 20 some odd days to come up with 400$.
That's a lot of money for an u/s. If you decide not to do the NT,keep in mind you can still opt for a Quad screen and at the 20 u/s they checkfor markers that may indicate a problem.
That is a lot of $$ for an u/s. We didn't do it with our first and only did it this time because insurance covered it and I'll be 35 when I deliver. In my opinion, if you are low risk it is something you can do without.
Honestly.. Im on the fence about the NT scan anyway. Unfortuanatly alot of people do it as a chance to see their baby bean but if measurements come out wrong , its going to make you worry... AND on top of that...alot of women have recorded FALSE RESULTS!!!! I dont think i want to risk false results..which will cause me to worry and cause me to get many more unwanted tests done. The way i look at it, the results are not going to change my mind about my baby. No NT scan needed here. Ill pass.
