DH and I LOVED Rock Bottom Brewery. They have the most unbelievable baked mac n cheese called Classic Mac n Chicken...seriously to die for. Sn d it's right on the waterway there.
My DH went to Marquette, we go back up to Milwaukee all the time. We've eaten at Water St. Brewery. It's good. I've never been to the Rock Bottom in Mil. as we have one here downtown, but it is seriously one of my FAVORITE places in the city. So that would be a good choice
I second Amanda's rec on the mac and cheese...it's really good. Another thing I get often are the Titan toothpicks. It's an appetizer, but huge.

How to choose!?!
I like Elsa's (it is also great in the evening...but more busy)
Love Louise's (just a few doors south of Elsa's)
Rock Bottom is a chain....good but not my first choice.
Water Street Brewery has a few locations.....also good.
DH and I just ate dinner at Fratello's and it was awesome. Right on the Milw. River in the 3rd Ward (south part of downtown).
There are tons! Check out www.foodspot.com for more ideas!
Thank you for the recommendations ladies!
We actually have a Rock Bottom Brewery here in Arlington, VA that I've been to before.
I'll definitely look over these suggestions tomorrow when I land & decide... I'll be flying in during lunchtime to answer a pp's question.
