Confused about Birthmother Meeting
I just got an email from our social worker and it sounds like she will not be at the lunch with our Birthmother on Saturday. This is the first time we will be meeting eachother. I thought our sw or someone from the agency would be there. I am confused, did I missunderstand? Is this the norm?

Ours said that a SW would be there. I don't know if it is the BMs SW or our SW or both.
They also made it clear that we have to pay for the meal. lol
When I was going through the process, the SW working with me would have been at the meetings, but not necessarily the SW working with the adoptive family. The agency I worked with had different SWs for adoptive vs birth families.
If I were you, I would clarify that a SW will be there.
