Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Anyones LO still waking up multiple times

At night?  My ds is 9 months and for the last 3 months has been waking up numerous times thoughout the night.  Sometimes its every 90min.  He is teething.  We tried letting him CIO & Ferber but it just leads to a sweaty wide awake tear soaked baby.

He did sttn from 2months to 6months and then it all went to hell.  The pedi said we just have strong willed baby and to try again with ferber once his top teeth he is working on come in.

Does anyone else's LO do this or have they had a waking problem like this?  I am at my wits end and just want to cry.

Re: Anyones LO still waking up multiple times

  • DS has STTN a total of 4 times in his life. Lately he is up twice in the night - for some reason he is now sensitive to his diaper being wet, because he will not go back down until I change his diaper. And he is nursing each of these times still, too. He's usually not up for very long but I'm about ready to try something new...I had a convo with him this morning and asked if we could work on improving his nighttime sleep, and he just nodded and smiled at me so I think we'll be trying something! • Dd was like this when I was nursing. I weaned at the beginning of sept and she has since slept through the night. Other wise she has NEVER slept through the night. There has been an instance this past week with her 1st rash which was bad and a molar coming in which had her up through the night.. Hopefully after your LO's teeth come in he'll have better nights

  • Yup...both girls are up and down all night. Ferber worked temporarily, but now they get too hysterical if I let them cry. Theres always an excuse...teething, colds, etc. I'm at a loss what to do about it.
  • At that age?  Yeah - she was up a bunch.  She STTN from 4-6 months then just stopped altogether.  She finally started STTN again at 14 months.
