I am having a toddler playdate at my house on Sunday, and was thinking of entertaining the kids by painting their faces with cute little pumpkins or ghost or spiders. They will be in their Halloween gear, and I wanted to make it fun and festive.
Do you think your DC could sit through a 3 minute face painting session? Or, do you think they may try and smear it or not like it?
The ages range from 14 months to 18 months.
Suggestions? Other ideas? Thoughts? TIA!
Re: Face painting. Yay or Nay?
My DS would not sit through that. We had a bunch of festivals in town last weekend that had facepainting and I did see some kids DS's age who got it done. I would say it would have to depend on the kids in question...
Good Luck!
You might be better off with Halloween temp tatoos.
This is actually a brilliant idea! Much easier, and would look really cute on them. Plus-- much less stress for me trying to get a toddler to sit still.?
We happened by a park one day maybe a month ago when DD was 15 months and some cheerleaders were doing face painting. DD walked right up to them and sat on their laps but wasn't still and wiped her hand in it just after... the result is on the pic at the top of my blog... it was supposed to be a heart but is a nice blob.
It's a fun idea, but you might just end up with cute blobs...

We went to a fair this past weekend that had face painting and ds freaked out like someone was hurting him..wanted nothing to do with the face paint whatsoever. It was sad
Haha! What a funny photo!
