I grew up in Northern VA but haven't lived there in quite some time. We're moving back at the end of the year and I would love to get some info on what types of kiddo things are available. I'll be a SAHM in the Centreville area and would love to know about story times, fun playgrounds & parks, indoor-play areas, and stuff like that. TIA for your help ![]()
Re: Moving back to VA, NoVA mommies come in!
Hi mabst196
Thanks! Of course I just reconnected with the mommy you introduced me to down here and now I'll be leaving at the end of the year!
I'm not in Centreville, but definitely ask this question on the DC Area Babies board.
Welcome back!
Oh well, at least you can GTG until to move. :-)
very exciting! i miss VA... we're in Southern, MD now.
check into The Joy Troupe. You can find them and the activities on Meetup.com. They do tons of different things weekly!
Thanks Agrippa
I will definitely post over there, I didn't even know that board was there. I'm not really stuck on keeping to the Centreville-area but I thought I'd throw that in there since NoVA seems to have expanded since I lived there!!
Enjoy moving back! Where did you grow up? I was born and raised here.
Sorry, I work so I'm totally in the dark about stuff to do around here. I know that Clemyjontri Park in McLean is supposed to be AMAZING!
Thanks MattsWifey, I have missed NoVA so much, SOMD is okay....but way different! I'll check out Joy Troupe
Hi Erika, I grew up in Oakton, my sister actually lives in Reston and my mom is in Centreville. I'll have to check out that park, thanks!
I grew up in Herndon but went to Oakton HS
I actually live right down the road from Centreville (right on the border of Chantilly).
Right down Braddock Road (the part that you turn left onto if you're heading north on 28), there are 2 farms that you can go to for fall festival/pumpkin patch. There's Cox Farm and Ticonderoga Farm.
Welcome back... I love NoVA, I am also a native.
