How to tell DH?

Wow -- I'm still in shock that the test was positive! We've been trying for a couple of months, so I know that DH will be excited. However - I don't know how to tell him! I found out about 2 hrs ago, and he came home from work about an hour ago. I always thought that I would send baby books to his office, or start leaving clues around our place, but now I'm not so sure. I think I have until tomorrow night until he starts to ask how soon we'll know either way. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to break the good news?

Do you have any pets?  If my H was not with me when we tested, I was going to get a shirt for our dog that said big sister.

I just flat out told mine and it was awesome!

Tell him you have something to show him...then hand him the positive pee stick.  Or ask him how he would really feel if he were going to be a Daddy, then tell him he needs to get ready because baby sassafras is on the way.

The first time I was pregnant, I got an ice cream cake. Can't remember what it said. Something like "We're pregant." Ended with m/c within a week.

The second time, I just told him. I didn't want to jinx it. And I can't get as excited this time until we go to the first appt. and put some worries aside.

Whatever you do, he will love, I'm sure!

as soon as i got a bfp, i ran into the room with the stick in had and told him.  i don't know how you've held it in for so long! congrats on the bfp btw!

 As soon as DH got home from work I had to show him the HPT. I was bursting to tell him! It was almost his birthday so I said, I have an early birthday gift for you and told him to close his eyes and came back with the test and told him to open his eyes!

I would just show him the test.  How can you wait until tomorrow???  I think that's kinda mean!  There's no way I could do that...

Well - I just *LOVE* surprises and Ithis is a moment that I've thought about for so long that I just really want to make it something big! I heard another idea at work today - make dinner tonight with baby carrots, baby peppers, etc, and then tell him the news! Now I have to choose between all of these great suggestions!!
