1st Trimester

Would you reconsider?

Today I was talking to my good friend who is due 3 weeks before me...

Her sister is due a week before her...

I told her the names we were considering and she said that this was a name her sister was considering too.

We do spend time with her sister but not often.

I still like the name we have but was wondering if others might reconsider their name choice upon getting this news?

Re: Would you reconsider?

  • If it was me, I'd still use the name.  If you aren't really close and don't spend a ton of time together, I wouldn't think it would be a big deal.

  • No, I would not. ?Once I picked out names in my last pregnancy, that was it. ?I didn't let anyone else's comments, opinions or the fact that someone else might have the same name affect my choices.?
  • Nope, not if I really liked the name. No big deal.

  • no i wouldn't. plenty of kids have the same names, they only reason i would reconsider is if it was a close relative.

  • I wouldn't change my mind just because of this, however I know there is a possibility that I will fall in love with a different name down the road.

  • nope . . wouldn't. . i have a friend who is pg and have all ready named their child (they are due in November) . it is the same name that DH and I have been considering. .  i still plan on using it . .
  • i would not worry about it.  there is always a chance that you or she will come across a name that is liked better.
  • I am with others.... I would keep it, if its a name you really like then why should you give it up.

I would only reconsider if I found out my sister was naming her child that but if its not someone you see all the time and they arent related then keep it.

I found out last week that a lady I work with who I thought has had her name picked out all along now likes a name we like.... but that didnt make me take it off our list.

  • I'd still use it. I told all of my girlfriends that if they got pg before me and used "my" name I'd still be using it. lol  Luckily I got ku first, but they didn't like the names so it's cool.
