Fat man in a little coat...

This is what I feel like.  I never noticed how close fitting my clothes are until all of this bloat popped up.  Even my "big" clothes are starting to fit tight.  I feel so bad because some people say that they were in regular clothes until 20 weeks.  Maybe their clothes were too big before.  IDK...  Tongue Tied

Anyone else feel like this?

Re: Fat man in a little coat...

  • I have been so bloated and had to use the rubber band trick on several pairs of pants. I do have 1 pair of maternity pants and a few pairs of jeans that were a size or so too big and they fit ok but the bloat is awful. I won't be 20 weeks before maternity clothes either.

  • I feel like this! I put on my banana republic capris this morning which normally are too big and I have to wear a belt, and they barely buttoned. Then I read about other "first timers" who didnt need maternity clothing until 20+weeks and Im like WTF? Am I gunna be HUGE? lol....

  • Don't feel bad at all! I'm the same way with my clothes. My pants were a perfect fit just before I got pregnant...meaning that I couldn't gain even 5 more lbs or else they'd be tight.

I had to buy my first pair of Mat. Pants yesterday as I couldn't even get away with a belly band!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!  I felt like some sort of freak!!!  Now I know I'm not.  20 weeks is def out of the question for me.  It may be 12 weeks, but I'm not 100% sure I can wait that long honestly.

  • i started wearing maternity clothes even tops before week 10 now i am in them full time no going back now. Mine is not bloat its a round belly thats hard i look really prego not just fat.
  • I'm belly banding already at 7 weeks. I wake up and it's normal then after the first thing I put in my mouth its like POOOF
  • I did all weekend but then I finally went to the potty today(#2) and I was able to button my pants again!!

  • I haven't been able to button my pants since six weeks and I finaly broke down and started wearing maternity pants about a week ago.  It may all be bloat, but that doesn't stop the clothes from not fitting or hurting my stomach when the few things that did fit would squeeze around my ab area!  Don't feel guilty for letting yourself be comfortable!

(And I love the "Fat Guy/Little Coat" reference!  I was walking around my house singing that about a couple of my [previously] favorite outfits just the other day!)
