My doppler just came in the mail!! DH is at work, we won't both be home until about 7:30-8 tonight.I'm trying to decide if I should try it out now or wait until we are both home. WWYD?

I had this dilemma on Friday.  I decided to go ahead and do it since I didn't think I'd find the h/b anyway because it's so early.  But I did!  So I had to be an awful person and do it again on Saturday with my husband, pretending it was the first time!

I voted for other.  I'd call DH and ask him if he minded if I went ahead and played with it or if he wanted me to wait.  Have fun!

I IM-ed DH and he said to go ahead, so I did. I found the heartbeat just above where the doctor did a couple of weeks ago, it only took a few seconds!!!  It is amazing, and I think I'm going to listen to it every single day from now on

I was a little worried that I was so excited that it was actually my own heartbeat haha... I felt my pulse and it was definitely MUCH slower than the baby's that I was listening to! I wish my doppler calculated it but it doesn't, oh well... I'll have DH count it tonight. It sounded so fast and strong- I didn't realize I would be so happy to hear it again!

Look for it!! You can always let DH hear it later.

I would go ahead and find it then when your DH gets home, do it again with him. That way you will know what you are looking for and where to find it.
