Upper GI scope anyone?

I have to have one tomorrow, and I'm not looking forward to it.  Has anyone ever had one?  I can't imagine a tube being sent down my throat is going to feel good at all.

    I had one in HS.  They knocked me out and I had an IV.  I kind of woke up in the middle and started gagging and the calmed me down and I 'fell back asleep'.  I don't remember what kind of sedative they used.

    Not a big deal at all.

    Thanks ladies.  As long as they are knocking me out (which they are) I think I'll be OK.  I have a nasty gag reflex, and that would not fly if I was awake! 

    And if they can help me kick this chronic heartburn and tummy ache, all the better!

    I had one a few months ago, and they took 10 biopsies.  I don't remember a thing!  I even had phone conversations with friends later that night and don't remember any of them!  I am a bit concerned about what I might have said to my doctor after the procedure since I was so out of it and he is HOT!  ha

    Anyways, I was completely out of it and had no pain.
