After DS2, I got a Timbuk2 bag. I designed my own cargo tote ($80) and I LOVE the bag. It doesn't have a ton of pockets but it does have a ton of room for extra diapers, changes of clothes, toys, etc. My requirements were: size, zipper top, over the shoulder AND handheld straps. I have been very happy with it.
A good friend has the Vera Bradley bag and loves it. It's in the $100 price range, is pretty large, the bag itself is light, and you can throw it in the washing machine. However, you need to like VB's style/patterns, since there's not an option for a plain bag.
I have a Petunia Picklebottom Boxy Backpack and think it will work for both kids, but I don't know for sure. I love it, but it is a little more expensive.
I tend to change out bags about as often as once a season. I love Vera Bradley bags. Most styles make great diaper bags. With my kids being 21 months apart I don't really need to carry too much for the older one. Right now though I am using a bag I got at BRU on clearance and it's wonderful. It's large enough to get me through going from 2 to 3 too. I can't remember the name of it but I think it's by J Cole.
I loved my backpack diaper bag. I got it when I was pregnant with #2. It is by One Step Ahead. I still use it when we travel but I am passed needing one everyday.
I just use my purse. I don't need to carry much. C takes her own sippy and snack trap. I have a bottle, diapers and wipes in my purse. I keep a bag of extras in the car. I can't be bothered with a big bag.
I had the Vera Bradley and I hate that thing with a passion. Did not finction worth a damn for me with one kid.
Hmmm - I hadn't thought about this. I'm pretty barebones in what I carry for #1 (2 diapers, wipes, sippy) so I'll just keep using my Columbia diaper bag...which I really liked when G was little.

I am still using my Columbia messenger-style diaper bag we got with #1 for BRU. ?I love that thing. ?I just made up a small duffel bag to keep in the car that has extra diapers, change of clothes, extra snacks, sunscreen, etc so that I don't have to lug all of that stuff around in my bag. ?My bag just hold a couple of diapers for each, wipes, some snacks for #1, a couple of small toys, and a sippy and a spare bottle.
I have 7 diaper bags, but most of them are out of your price range.........
You should look into Skip Hop though - they make nice looking diaper bags for under $100. I have a Dash that DH likes to use because it looks like a messenger bag.

I got an awesome Timi&Leslie bag. Has lots of room, a spot for two bottles (or a bottle and sippy cup in my case), etc. It's not even 1/2 way filled up right now with DD's stuff. I love it!
