I haven't received a copy of my daughter's in the mail -- do I have to order it?  I can't seem to recall what they told me in the hospital when she was born.  TIA!

Yeah, you have to request a copy from the state. The SS card should be sent automatically.

Yep, and it costs money. I think $20 per certificate. I ordered 2.

I just requested DS's online last week.  I got a confirmation, but haven't received the copies yet.  I got the link off the paperwork from the hospital.  Here it is:
