I dont even know how to use the damn thing.  I cant even thread it.  I'm ashamed to admit that I failed the sewing part of home ec.  My teacher took pity upon me and gave me a D-....she said I was such a hopeless cause but since I got an A+ in the cooking part she gave me the D- lol

Ha!  Thats better than me!  I never even took the class!    Im thinking about asking for a sewing machine and dont know how to it one either.

Threading is 99% of the battle.  Have your older DD read the instructions and show you.  Avoid slippery fabric!

my older dd tried to read the directions but she couldnt figure it out either.  My mom has used it more times than I have & I begged her to help me but she just doesnt have the time.

Take a class at Joanns or somewhere like that.  They are very inexpensive. 

Sewing is really fun, good luck!
