thumb sucking

in Babies: 0 - 3 Months
What would you do about it? R only gets her paci for naps and sleeping and if im driving by myself. But shes discovered her thumb. I take it out of her mouth when I can catch her, but I dont want this to turn into a habit.

    my MIL is a doctor and says it's great when they learn to suck on their hand/fingers b/c it helps them learn to self soothe. i would let DC do it and worry about the repercussions later.

    If it does turn into a habit it's something you can worry about later b/c right now it is soothing to her, it can't have any permanent harm to teeth until after 4yrs old...so I think it's fine!
