What I want most in the universe:

More than anything in the universe, what I really want is for someone I know/love/trust to come over and take the girls into a sound-proof room when they wake up around 7am, and entertain them for about...5 hours so I can sleep in!

Even if I had somewhere to send them, by the time I got them up and ready, I wouldn't be able to go back to sleep.  DH gets up at 5am every day for work and is only off on the days *I* work, so he can't do it.  Our families are all either OOT or having health problems.  It's still a fun little fantasy, though.

Both girls have been sick and E has been up literally all night for the past two nights.  I'm loving this "mom of 2" thing and wouldn't trade a second of it for anything, but after 6 months, I really feel due for a full night's sleep (ya hear me, sleep gods?!).

Anyone else ready to keel over today?

  • I am in the same boat.  Both girls were sleeping on me on the couch all night.  Macy was really fussy and I am exhausted.  I got DH up at 5:30 and made him take over but I could still hear them crying.  DH is not very good at soothing Macy.  I got a bed to myself for a couple hours but not much sleep.

  • Totally with you!  Maren sttn last Saturday night.  It was the one and only time she has.  Little tease.  I'm pooped.

  • We started Ferber on Thursday.  What I want most is a baby who doesn't cry at night.  He was crying even when I was going in to hold/rock/nurse him, so we figured he may as well cry in his crib and learn how to sleep.  3 nights in, and he's still crying (so am I).  I am so discouraged.
