Rec. your formula for gas, constipation

DS is breastfed but my supply has been hurt due to surgery, unexpected surgery, blood loss, and medication that I now have to take.  I'm working with an LC to get my supply back up to what it was, but in the meantime, I've been supplementing with formula.  I've blown through my entire freezer stash of BM, so he has to have some formula for now.

The pedi recommended Enfamil Gentlease, which worked fine when he only got the occasional bottle of formula.  Now that he's getting 16-20 oz. a day, it's not agreeing with him.  He squeals after he eats, and has a hard time passing gas and going.

Is there something gentler than Gentlease that might not upset DS's tummy?

Ds is on Alimentum and it has worked great for his gas/reflux/fussniess with feedings.

We went through a few formulas, similac advance, good start, and enfamil gentlease, and DD is now on similac sensative and does well with it. She still spits up, but always has and I am pretty sure its just how she is and not related to the formula. I think that every baby reacts so differently to formulas, I have heard so many people swear up and down by the ones I tried and DD did awful on them (diarrhea, constipation, horrible gas, crying through bottles, etc). GL!

DS has really bad gas and Similac Sensitive has worked wonders for us. He has never been a "spit up" baby, just really bad gas..

DS has reflux and was gassy. we use Similac Sensitive and added a serving of Mylicon drops to each bottle.

Had the same problem.. We now are on goodstart gentle.. dr browns bottles.. and I put the 1/2 the dose of gas drops in the bottle then give the other half to my lo when we are done eating works great!
