Where to find inexpensive coats?

So my search for lighter winter-type coats for the girls at this weekend's consignment sales came up flat.  Any suggestions where to look now?  Thanks!

Re: Where to find inexpensive coats?

  • They have some at Old Navy. They're $35, but you may be able to find a coupon out there.

  • I saw some really cheap nice coats at burlington coat factory. Last year we ot ours from maxway. TJ MAXX or Marshalls may have some as well.
  • Have you tried some of the thrift stores like Goodwill? The Atlanta Junior League is having their winter coat sale at the Nearly New Store on Howell Mill Rd. this weekend. I don't know if they have children's coats. Walmart??
  • There were some really cute coats at old navy and not too expensive, around $30 or lower. They also had tons of cute sweater and long sleeve shirts on sale. it might be worth check out. I bought hunter a couple of things and four of the shirts were long sleeved and only $3-$5

  • Last year I got SC a coat at Walmart...reversible fleece/waterproof.  Heavier coat as it was quilted, but not too heavy.  That coat held up surprisingly well and it was as inexpensive as they come.  Looked great at end of season...try there.  I will also say the Garanimal shirts I bought at Walmart last year held up better than the gymboree ones when it came to shrinking....the Garanimal pants did fade, but hey they are cheap!

Gymboree has a big sale right now.

  • Thanks all!  I'm headed to Walmart at lunch for diapers anyway, so I'll see what they have.  I'll keep my fingers crossed!
