Help me decide which to go with! (portrait studios)

We're wanting 1 month pics done and we have three in our area, JC Penney, Sears, and Portrait Innovations.  We're probably only going to go with 1 or 2 poses and not many sheets.  We've got coupons to use at each place, but I do like the option of being able to order more online at a later time.  Apparently, Portrait Innovations doesn't do that.

Has anyone been to ALL three of these places?  If so, who gave you the best quality for the money?  Has anyone had a BAD experience with any of the 3?

Thanks!

  • I like Portrait Innovations...1 pose and you get a ton for $9.99.

  • well I'd say Portrait Innovations is out for you if they don't give you that option...

I've heard JcPenney and Sears are both usually good and you can usually get sales and they run those postcards and such too. GL! :)

  • I loved portrait innovations-but I haven't tried sears or jcpenney yet!

You could ask to buy the cd of all the images at Portait Innovations! & that 9.99 deal is INSANE, SOOO many pictures (but only one pose) to give away!

  • I hated JC Penny, it was like a used car lot or lets make a deal. We would say what we wanted and then they would up the package, and restrict our "free" pictures. They also charge extra for black & white, and sepia. They did there best to sell us a 300.00 package when we were looking to spend 100.00 for the package we wanted.
  • Have you thought about trying non-studio pics?  Just a though...I found quite a few people on craigslist who want to get a bigger portfolio so they offer free or very inexpensive "sitting fees". IMO some of those photographers are much better than the studios - more casual setting (at your home), gives you copyrights to print photos as you want and where you want, or you can get prints from them.
