Can I just get a booster seat instead of a high chair?

*Disclaimer: this may be a stupid question, but I thought I'd ask the experts for your opinion.     

I'm thinking about getting this booster seat to use rather than getting a high chair that takes up a lot of space.

I have the Baby Bargains book and I'm trying to figure out what we really need and what we don't.  It seems to me we could use this when the baby starts on solids rather than a huge high chair.  Am I missing something?

Absolutely.  That's what I do.  They can be a little harder to clean I've heard, but I love mine.  I have the safety 1st one.  It fits very securely which was my main concern.  It is also nice to take when visiting family.

We got something similar to that but it specifically says from infant to toddler and can be used outside the home.

If you want to get something like that you need to make sure that it reclines - and says from infant to toddler.

I have this one and my lo sits in it for short periods already.  she loves it as she can see us better in it.

Yup! I just bought one. They work the same just don't take up a lot of space. You can even travel with them.

Thanks for the recommendations, ladies!  I'll go with one of those models.  I wasn't sure if the one I was looking at worked for infants too.
