Video Monitor Advice

When DS was an infant we fell in love with our video monitor. I think the brand was Summer (?). We must have gone through 5 of them. I remember they worked great in the beginning then the picture would become too grainy or static noise would become unbearable. We would just take it back and get another one.

I'm hoping the quality has improved now but, I'm not so sure after looking at reviews online. Do you have one? Are you happy with yours? What product do you have?

Thanks!

Re: Video Monitor Advice

  • I just got back from Target and returned one bc we never used it.  DH thought it would be good for us to see her, but once we hear her crying on the regular monitor, I am already headed to her room.
  • I have the MobiCam and I really like it.  Its portable, so I can be out in the garage or outside watering the flowers and still see and hear everything that LO is doing, whether he is in his crib, swing or where ever.  I haven't had it for long, so I don't know how it is going to hold up.  So far so good.

  • We have the Summer Infant Best View (we've had it for about 6 months), and we're very happy with it.  It's portable, and it has a digital signal instead of analog.  Occasionally, we get a little interference from our wireless router and have to reset the camera, but other than that we haven't had any problems.
  • We have the Summer Infant Day & Night Handheld Color video monitor.

We haven't noticed any interference from our electronics, WiFi, etc. And it really does have "night vision" to see the baby in complete darkness. We like it.

We have this one, too. We love it!
