can vent about something thats NBR?

I have no fecking kitchen!  Hell half the sheetrock isnt even up yet!....no sink, no stove  .... nothing for over a week and its driving me absolutely bonkers!

BUT the contractor who is a friend of ours promise me that I will have at least half of my cabinets up and my sink & stove will be put in tomorrow or no later than Sunday afternoon.  I picked out my colors and got the paint this morning.

The only thing thats gonna suck is the countertop is on backorder so they are gonna put down some kind of plywood to use as a counter top.

  • We lived without a kitchen for MONTHS when we moved into the house. I know exactly how much that sucks.

  • When we remodeled our kitchen it sucked. I was lucky and only had to be without my sink for a day though. They did one side at a time. Once they got over to the sink they worked really fast and when they were done, they sat the old sink back in for me. I guess it helped that it was my uncle doing the work and he's scared of my temper.

Just think of what you will have when it's all finished.

It's good to "see" you back!

  • I too have lived through a kitchen remodel. Worse, we were doing it ourselves so it took months and months. Plus, I was PG with DS1. Ugh. It was horrible, but soooo worth it!

Ditto this except I was pregnant with #2.    We used paper plates for several months for the most part.  The dishes that needed to be washed were done in the bathroom sink.....I have felt your pain.  It is totally worth it!
