Great, c-section date makes me want to cry ;(

My Dr said the hosp would schedule me for anywhere between Oct 2-9th.

Well it's Monday the  5th, which SUCKS.  Fri or Sat would have been awesome, but now we have to sit around all weekend and then have the c-section.  My DH doesn't get any time off for paternity leave so instead of taking 5 days off for vacation and getting 2 weekends, now we get the one weekend off (and possibly Columbus day, but I'm guessing he'll be catching up on work stuff).

Plus, they scheduled me for pre-admission work next Fri and so that means DH will prob have to take a half day since it's at 1:30.

And, I had a really fast labor with DD, so I am terrified beyond belief about going into labor on my own (I will prob call an ambulance if it's anything like last time).  I am having lots of cramps at night and feel like this labor is going to be a lot earlier than my first, so now I have over 3 extra days to stress over this.

*sigh*  I am praying this baby does not come earlier.  BTW my parents are deceased and we don't talk to the in-laws, so DH is basically it for me, my aunt will come for a few days once DH has to go back to work.

If my VBAC doesn't pan out, I just got a call with the 2nd being my pre-op and the 5th being the c/s date as well and not til 1pm to boot. I was pretty bummed too. Way to drag it out even further, you know?

I know how you feel! My C/S was scheduled for 10/12, and I had everything all planned out... Had an US today, and now I'm having my section tomorrow morning! Luckily I was able to talk them into letting me go home and get a few things taken care of- not staying in the hospital overnight...  I'm so excited to meet this LO, but really really nervous!

Don't be sad or stress yourself out.  I'm having a c section next friday the 2nd.  What a bummer your husband doesn't get paternity and has to use up vacation.  I know mine just gets FMLA.  He's in sales so no workey=no money.  I think his manager is gonna try and set him up with a laptop so he can do a little work from home while he's off.  Once the baby is here we'll all be in our own little worlds and nothing else will matter.  Good luck to you!
