Summer Infant Best View Problems?

We've had this monitor for a month and a half now and have had no problems whatsoever until tonight. ?The handheld monitor was in the power save mode when DH went to push the button on the top to sneak a peek at DD, but instead of the image of DD sleeping coming up on the screen we saw just a blacked out screen. ?He turned the handheld off and powered it back up only to have the white screen with the Summer Infant logo stuck there and the image of DD's room not coming up after just a few seconds like it normally does. ?We've turned it off, taken the rechargeable batteries out, replaced the batteries back into the monitor, but still no luck! ?I purchased the monitor off of amazon.com and have the copy of my order confirmation. ?I'm wanting to see if anyone else has had a similar issue and if so, how did you get it resolved? ?Will that order confirmation email from amazon.com work as an original receipt when returning it to Summer Infant? ??TIA!Rachel?

call summer infant customer service and see if they have any ideas of how to fix it.  They are fantastic there!  We had trouble with ours...it was already 2 years old but they were really nice and helped me find the battery I needed
