Uhhh.... I haven't gotten ANYTHING off my registry! *pouts sarcastically*

I'll be having a total of 3 showers. (one is for friends, one is for my family, & one is for DH's family)

I've already had the friends shower & the one for DH's family. Nobody at either shower has bought anything off my registry. Yes it sucks but lots of people don't even look at registries.

Oh well...

I just had my shower this past weekend, and almost everybody got clothes for us...exactly what we didn't need, as I had scored a bunch of used stuff on craigslist.  Cute stuff, but I guess it's my own fault. I should have waited to buy stuff until after the shower!

I'm just waiting for my completion coupon ( I cheated and switched my due date) to pick up the rest. We did get a couple gift cards (about $100 total), so that'll help a lot.

After my shower, I vowed to ALWAYS shop from a registry. ?

I would say 95% of the gifts were things off our registry.  Including big ticket items like stroller, carseat, bouncy seat, changing table, and jumperoo.  I think it makes a difference because we didn't find out the gender.  It think when people know the gender, they tend to buy outfits.

lucky! I didn't expect people to buy everything for us, I'm okay with buying it ourselves, but it sure would have been nice to get a FEW things. I spent a lot of time doing the registry, finding things that were affordable, etc. We already had bought most of the big ticket items ourselves.

I completely agree with this!!  We're not finding out and I'm so glad about that!!

I got a grand total of ONE thing off my registry. I didn't have any baby showers but my friends/In-laws bought me mostly clothes and we bought pretty much everything else we needed ourselves.

It's funny cause everyone kept asking me where I was registered and yet practically no one bought anything off my registry (I listed cheap stuff too). What's the point in asking if you're not going to shop off it??

This is true for us.  We got almost no clothes or blankets, but all of our big ticket items.  Very nice considering I still have two showers left to get clothes.
