"36" week appointment and all it's joys....

Today was a fun-filled appointment filled with GBS swabbing (not that bad!), my first internal (0 cm, 30% effaced) which WAS pretty uncomfortable and, finally, a fundal height measurement where my OB informed me that she could no longer find the top of my uterus b/c it has now dissappeared into my ribs. To top it all off, she said that, since I am fairly short, (5' 2") she hopes that I will go early instead of 40 weeks or later. That comment surprised me! I would never expect to hear an OB say that....

Yeah thats odd...why would she say that. Why would your height have anything to do with when you deliver. My cousin is 4"11 and went to 41 weeks and was fine...odd
