RLS-vent

Does anyone else get restless leg syndrome? I get it almost every night now and it is driving me crazy! It is the worst, most uncomfortable, tingly, yucky feeling. I am moving my legs all night just to try to make it go away.

Just another wonderful side effect...

Re: RLS-vent

  • OKAY. seriously i'm ready to chop my hands and chop my legs off. For a good month, she must be laying on some nerve that makes both my hands and legs fall asleep. But in my right hand ..OHMYGOD it kills me in the morning. Such a horrible pain, feeling as though i have arthritis or something. When I first wake up i cannot make a fist. Another reason I can't wait for pregnancy to be over.

    Hang in there!

  • I have it regardless of pregnancy but its worse now that I'm pregnant. Its mostly due to a lack of Iron....try taking an extra iron supplement or ask your doc for a script for ferralet (iron supplement that is slow release). It can also be due to lack of calcium & magnesium....try drinking milk before bed.

But I'll be honest with you...I've tried ALL of those things and nothing helps...i have just kind of learned to deal with the irritablity of it...i notice that it bothers me most when my legs keep rubbing together because it creates a chaffing feeling so I sleep with a really flat pillow between my legs to keep them from touching...that sorta helps. But atleast one night a week i find myself in the bathtub at 2am hoping to "soak my RLS away" (note - baths don't work either LOL)

  • I haveit before I lay down...like from 4 pm until I go to bed. I CANNOT get comfortable in the living room, so I go lay down... and then I can't get comfortable there, but its a different kind of uncomfiness.

Also, my hips KILL me at night. KILL me.

  • No but DH does and it drives me and him crazy. He takes Natural Calm at night and it seems to help. Its Calcium and Magnesium. Also Sprouts/Henrys/Boneys have some homeopathic tablets that dissolve on your tongue that seem to help him too. GL!
